Rain - The feeling of love, happiness, nostalgias, memories, etc. The water droplets oozing slowly from the leaf tips will make every soul a cold feeling. The rhythm of the rain is like the melodious music which heals any soul. Kerala's monsoon is much more beautiful with the thunder, the lightning, the smell from the land and in this God’s own country also the gods take a rest for a play in the monsoon! The monsoons are only too jovial to contribute the best to ourselves! The rainy days in South India are splashing so like the rain from clouds is trying to reach its beloved destination after a long waiting. Everyone love monsoons, the pouring rain, the pitter patter and will be missing it all now, despite it makes us happier to see a chit chat of drizzling in these hot land. The farmers are cheerful, the rain timing is right. The rain in south India starts in the June month (edavapathy) and it’s the starting of a new academic year for the schools and colleges. Kids have new school uniforms and new books, new bag, etc. Along with all these they will be carrying a new umbrella or a rain coat. It’s good to see the kids wearing raincoats and some may be walking under the umbrellas. Some may be playing in these rains or wetted by the fresh rains. Dresses are smelling hackneyed due to the lack of sunlight to dry them, dhobis on a much required go late or vacation whatever way you may need to term it, shutterbugs taking their rain shots and movie makers making their rain frames done. Life is going on as normal in Kerala. It’s a beautiful view to see the greenery which has been drenched in the monsoon. Kerala is the real beauty queen, from all other destinations markedly during drizzly season. There is rich green all over the land with all streams and rivers in full fierceness. Dark crowded clouds fluttering in the sky in valleys such a Vythiri in Wayanad which is on the way to Kozhikode from Mysore is a blissful, heavenly place. From the Kasargod to the end Thiruvananthapuram its beauty is unspeakable. We can see the village beauty, urban beauty everything, a travel to these will give us the memories forever. No surprise why Kerala is named as "God's own country". Topography being one of my most enjoyed subject for every traveller, it's enjoyable to discover a lot from this episode of life's travelling. It was, even more, an entertaining to see the whole means of rainfall live in front of eyes on about everyday basis in the Western Ghats during monsoon. That again evokes us of the different tints of greenish Kerala. Dark, deep, misty green forests; some leaves pale green in colour; fresh green mosses dropping onto the broken tree branches lying on the ground and old dark mosses over the rocks which making them slippery.
